Voltage Pictures

Voltage Pictures or Voltage Productions, is an Los Angeles-based American film financing, production and distributing company founded by Oscar winner producer Nicolas Chartier. Founded in 2005, Voltage Pictures has emerged as one of the most distinguished international finance, production and distribution companies in the industry. Founded by veteran sales agent and Academy Award winner Nicolas Chartier, Voltage has built a library of over a hundred and fifty films in its short ten-year history. In March 2015, industry veteran Jonathan Deckter joined Voltage as a partner and is currently serving as president and COO. In 2011, Chartier partnered with longtime Hollywood Gang executive Craig Flores to form Voltage Productions, an offshoot of Voltage Pictures aiming to generate films in the $15M-$40M budget range. Zev Foreman is responsible for producing Voltage Pictures’ in-house financed slate. John Fremes, having previously run International Distribution and Sales for Millennium Pictures, completes the Voltage Senior Executive team.
==Awards and notable films==
To date, Voltage's films have been nominated for 15 Academy Awards, 5 Golden Globes, and won 9 Academy Awards and 2 Golden Globes. Several films were also nominated or won PGA, DGA, SAG, BAFTA, Independent Spirit awards and other prizes.

In March 2010, Voltage produced and financed ''The Hurt Locker'', directed by Kathryn Bigelow and starring Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty, Ralph Fiennes, and Guy Pearce. The film was nominated for nine Academy Awards, winning six, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing.

In January 2014, ''Dallas Buyers Club'', also produced and co-financed by Voltage, was nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Picture, and won three for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Make-Up. The film, directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, starred Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner. It also won 2 Golden Globes for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.

''Keep Watching'', directed by Sean Carter and starring Bella Thorne, Chandler Riggs, Ioan Gruffudd, and Natalie Martinez, was recently acquired by Screen Gems, who picked up the rights for the US and much of the world. Voltage has a number of high profile projects in post-production including; ''I.T.'', directed by John Moore and starring Pierce Brosnan and Stefanie Scott; "Untitled Bruce Willis Project", directed by Mark and Robb Cullen and starring Bruce Willis, John Goodman, Jason Momoa, Famke Janssen, Stephanie Sigman, Thomas Middleditch, and Kal Penn; and ''Revolt'', directed by Joe Miale and starring Lee Pace and Berenice Marlohe.
Recently released films include ''Fathers and Daughters'', directed by Gabriele Muccino, starring Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Aaron Paul; ''Pay the Ghost'', directed by Uli Edel and starring Nicolas Cage; and ''Good Kill'', directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Ethan Hawke, Bruce Greenwood, January Jones, Zoe Kravitz and Jake Abel, which was released by IFC Films in May 2015.
Natalie Portman's directorial debut, ''A Tale of Love and Darkness'' was selected as a Cannes 2015 Film Festival special screening. It premiered on May 18, 2015.
